THE QUIET DOMINANCE

$1,399.00 USD

At 38 inches wide, this chair and a half doesn't apologize for the square footage it claims. Top grain white leather stretches taut across a tight back construction, catching light in long, unbroken planes rather than fussy tufts or seams. The silhouette is rectangular, almost architectural. Poplar and manufactured wood meet at the frame with dovetail joinery you will never see but will always feel underfoot. Stainless steel legs in a satin silver finish lift the entire mass off the floor, so the whole form appears to hover. Most other pieces in the room end up arranging themselves around this one.

  • Top grain genuine white leather upholstery, hand stretched across a tight back frame for an unbroken surface
  • Solid poplar and engineered wood chassis, dovetail joined and kiln dried for structural integrity that outlasts trend cycles
  • Satin silver stainless steel legs, engineered to lift the frame clear of the floor
  • Foam fill throughout seat and back at 1.8 lbs per cubic foot, tuned for density that holds its shape under daily weight
  • Rated to 300 lbs, built for real use rather than display
  • Chair and a half proportions designed for one occupant who has no interest in sharing

[ MATERIALS & CARE ]

Top grain leather like this doesn't ask for much. A dry microfiber cloth handles daily upkeep, no chemical cleaners required. Keep it out of direct sunlight and the white stays white, the surface stays supple. The poplar frame beneath, hand joined at every dovetail and kiln dried before assembly, resists warping under the kind of daily use most furniture never survives. Maintenance here amounts to little more than common sense, which is exactly the point of building something this well in the first place.
