THE DERELICT

$1,299.00 USD

A silhouette that refuses to sit quietly in a room. The frame is satin black steel, angled low and wide, the kind of geometry that reads as drafting-table precision rather than furniture-store default. Across it, distressed brown leather pools and creases like it has already lived a decade of afternoons in better light than yours. The cushions sit loose in their steel sling, not pinned down, not fussy. Shadow collects in the folds of the leather and along the sharp edge of the chassis, giving the whole object a kind of tension between hard structure and soft surrender. This is not a chair you apologize for. It is the one thing in the room everyone else has to work around.

  • Satin black powder-coated steel chassis, cut low and angular for a grounded, architectural stance
  • Full-grain distressed leather upholstery in a deep, variegated brown, no two chairs identical
  • Kiln-dried solid rubberwood inner frame for structural integrity beneath the leather sling
  • Foam-filled cushion seat and cushion back, ticked construction, fully removable
  • Steel armrests wrapped in leather, load-rated to 225 lbs
  • Rectangular chair shape with a 22.25" back height from seat to top

[ MATERIALS & CARE ]

This chair is built to be lived with, not fussed over. The leather is meant to distress further with use, so the marks of an actual life spent in it only deepen its character rather than diminish it. A dry microfiber cloth handles the occasional dust or spill. Skip the harsh cleaners and steer it clear of direct sunlight, which is really just common sense for any good leather. Beyond that, there is very little to think about. The steel frame holds its structure indefinitely, the wood core does not shift or loosen, and the whole piece is engineered to carry daily use without asking for daily attention.
